How to Unlock Pyroclast Cascade in MW4
Cascade ends an individual weapon's Prestige journey. Follow these stages:
- Earn Weapon XP until the weapon reaches its maximum level.
- Choose Weapon Prestige and accept the initial weapon-level and attachment reset.
- Unlock the opening Pyroclast variant, then progress toward Pyroclast Terminus.
- Continue into Weapon Prestige Master, where the weapon keeps its levels and attachments instead of resetting again.
- Reach Pyroclast Scatter and continue toward the final Cascade reward.
This route uses Weapon XP rather than player rank or mode-specific mastery challenges.
Pyroclast Cascade Requirement
Pyroclast Cascade is the final reward after Scatter in Weapon Prestige Master. Continue earning Weapon XP on the same weapon to reach its last Pyroclast appearance.
Cascade is not awarded by selecting Classic player Prestige or reaching player Prestige Master. Its progression is specific to the weapon you are leveling.
Previously unlocked camos and customization survive the first Weapon Prestige reset. Apex and Weapon Blueprint Attachments are exempt from that attachment reset, and Weapon Prestige Master does not reset weapon levels or attachments again.
How Long Does Pyroclast Cascade Take?
Reaching Cascade includes ordinary weapon leveling, the first Weapon Prestige reset, releveling to Terminus and continued Weapon XP through the Master stage beyond Scatter.
Players starting with a fully leveled weapon have less to do than those beginning from its earliest levels. Double Weapon XP Tokens and the amount of progress already earned influence the time needed.
Because this is a weapon-specific leveling journey, player Classic Prestige rank is not a measure of how close you are to Cascade.
Fastest Way Through Prestige
Keep earning Weapon XP with the weapon whose Cascade variant you want. Multiplayer or DMZ play advances its levels, and Double Weapon XP Tokens can help.
Plan your attachments around the first reset. Ordinary attachments relock until earned again, while previously unlocked camos and other customization remain available. Once Weapon Prestige Master begins, the weapon keeps its levels and attachments instead of resetting a second time.
Follow that weapon’s Gunsmith progression to see which Pyroclast appearance comes next.

The Full Pyroclast Ladder
Four variants make up MW4's evolving Pyroclast Weapon Prestige camo:
- Pyroclast: the opening Weapon Prestige appearance.
- Pyroclast Terminus: the second variant, also referred to as Pyroclast Verge.
- Pyroclast Scatter: the later appearance within Weapon Prestige Master.
- Pyroclast Cascade: the final announced Weapon Prestige variant.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the hardest Prestige camo in MW4?
Pyroclast Cascade is the fourth and final Weapon Prestige variant. It requires the longest progression through this four-camo path, after Pyroclast, Terminus and Scatter.
How long does Pyroclast Cascade take?
It depends on your weapon’s existing levels and Weapon XP earned through the first Prestige and Master stages. Cascade follows Pyroclast, Terminus and Scatter.
Do you need Classic Prestige for Pyroclast Cascade?
No. Cascade belongs to Weapon Prestige Master for an individual weapon, not the Classic or Regular player Prestige systems.
