How to Unlock Ripple Tide in MW4
Ripple Tide is not an independent camo challenge available from the start of DMZ. It belongs to a progression chain with Chiral immediately before it.
- Level weapons to progress through their Military camos.
- Complete Special camo challenges to advance the shared weapon-camo progression.
- Unlock Gold, Platinum and Harmonic Break, then earn Divergence.
- Finish Chiral, the first DMZ Mastery challenge.
- Complete Ripple Tide's challenge once the second mastery stage becomes accessible.
Military, Special and Completionist progression is shared across supported modes, but the Ripple Tide challenge belongs specifically to DMZ. Progressing a weapon's standard camos does not let you bypass Chiral.
Ripple Tide Requirement and Weapon Count
Completing Chiral opens the Ripple Tide Mastery challenge. Unlike Chiral’s enemy-elimination goal, Ripple Tide focuses on extracting LT dog tags from DMZ deployments. Follow the active Gunsmith objective for the required extraction conditions.
The challenge is part of DMZ Mastery, not Weapon Prestige. Progressing through this second tier leads toward Helio, while Pyroclast Terminus belongs to the separate weapon-leveling Prestige path.

Fastest Way to Get Ripple Tide
Finish Divergence and Chiral first. For Ripple Tide itself, focus on the dog-tag extraction objective shown in Gunsmith rather than continuing to treat ordinary enemy eliminations as the primary goal.
Digital-preorder players can level weapons and earn shared camos through DMZ early access starting October 20. That progress carries into the full October 23 release, giving you a head start on the prerequisites.
Unlike Chiral, Ripple Tide involves getting the required items out of the deployment. Pay attention to the challenge’s exfil conditions as you plan each run.
What Comes After: Helio
Completing Ripple Tide opens Helio, the third and final DMZ mastery challenge. In the announced DMZ sequence, Chiral has the first position, Ripple Tide occupies the middle and Helio is the finishing reward.
These are DMZ-specific mastery rewards, distinct from the Multiplayer progression ending with Orion Reforged and the Season 1 Warzone progression ending with Empyros.
The MW4 mastery-camo hub places all three mode ladders alongside the separate Weapon Prestige rewards.
