How to Unlock Orion Reforged in MW4

The route to Orion Reforged follows this order:

1. Level weapons to unlock Military camos.
2. Complete their Special camo challenges.
3. Advance through the Completionist chain: Gold, Platinum, Harmonic Break and Divergence.
4. Complete Mercurial Drift, Multiplayer Mastery 1.
5. Complete Polyatomic Reforged, Multiplayer Mastery 2.
6. Complete the Orion Reforged Multiplayer Mastery 3 challenge.

Completing Divergence gives access to the Mastery stage. It does not itself award Orion Reforged.

Orion Reforged Requirement and Weapon Count

Polyatomic Reforged must be completed before Orion Reforged becomes accessible. Orion then has its own Multiplayer Mastery objective, displayed in Gunsmith. Finishing the earlier tier opens the challenge rather than automatically granting the final camo.

Use your weapon progression screens to distinguish weapons that have reached Divergence, Mercurial Drift, Polyatomic Reforged or Orion Reforged. Future seasonal weapons may have their own camo progress to complete.

How Long Does Orion Reforged Take?

Orion Reforged is a multi-stage project. The total includes leveling weapons, completing Special challenges, finishing the entire Completionist chain and advancing through all three Multiplayer mastery tiers.

Your starting progress makes the biggest difference to how much remains. Players who already have Divergence and earlier Multiplayer mastery camos have fewer stages left than those starting with fresh weapons. There is no fixed completion time that applies to every account.

Fastest Way to Get Orion Reforged

Follow the unlock dependencies rather than trying to start Orion Reforged directly. Divergence opens the Multiplayer mastery ladder, Mercurial Drift leads to Polyatomic Reforged, and Polyatomic Reforged opens Orion's own challenge.

Use the weapon checklist to separate finished weapons from those still on an earlier tier. A checked box records your own progress, not an automatic game unlock.

Orion (MWII) vs Orion Reforged (MW4)

Orion was Modern Warfare II's final mastery camo, known for its cosmic purple appearance. Orion Reforged is a distinct MW4 adaptation, shown with shifting purple, red and orange cosmic patterns. The newer look belongs to a different unlock system.

Owning Orion in MWII does not unlock Orion Reforged. That distinction concerns mastery progress, not every promotional reward. Moonlit Pearl and Gilded Ruin are separate cross-game camo rewards with their own eligibility.

Is There Anything After Orion Reforged?

Orion Reforged is the final announced Multiplayer mastery camo. No extra secret reward for finishing every mode track has been announced.

Other progression paths continue separately. Helio finishes DMZ Mastery, while Empyros finishes Warzone Mastery in Season 1. The full camo hub also covers the Pyroclast Weapon Prestige variants.
