In ARC Raiders, Broken Monument sends you into Scrap Yard for three quest items that sit close together but hide inside clutter that looks like normal debris.

This usually wastes runs for players who already use Dam Battlegrounds for other objectives, but have not learned the south-to-north landmarks inside the yard.

The fix is a strict route, exact item naming, and a clean extract plan. You do not need guesswork, a forced named exit, or a full loot sweep.

Start on the south side of Scrap Yard if you can. The compass box is tucked between wrecked vehicles near the tires and the large spherical tank.

  1. Enter Scrap Yard from the south side when your approach allows it.
  2. Find the tires on the ground and the large spherical tank.
  3. Face north and look at the broken vehicle rows beside the tank.
  4. Step into the gap between the wrecked vehicles instead of following the open lane.
  5. Search the yellow-marked box, then manually take the First Wave Compass.
What You Should Notice: The compass objective updates and the First Wave Compass is visible in your inventory.
Stop Here If Fixed: If the compass was the only landmark you kept forgetting, keep moving north and do not circle the south wrecks again.

ARC Raiders Broken Monument Tape

Type: Root Cause Fix

Objective: Search for the video tape near the cylindrical containers.

The tape is the second stop on the same sweep. It sits beside two large cylindrical containers on the right-hand northbound lane through Scrap Yard.

  1. From the spherical tank area, take the right-hand path heading north.
  2. Watch the right side for two large cylinders lying beside the lane.
  3. Look for the yellow-marked quest box at the base of the containers.
  4. Search the box.
  5. Manually take the First Wave Tape after the search finishes.
What You Should Notice: The tape objective updates and the First Wave Tape is now carried as a quest item.
Stop Here If Fixed: If tape was the only box you kept missing, continue north and do not reset the whole loop from the south again.

Objective: Search for the old field rations in the Raider camp.

The rations are the northern stop. They are inside a Raider camp trailer or field-depot shell, not left in the open yard.

  1. Keep moving north from the tape location.
  2. Find the Raider camp trailer or field-depot shell in the north part of Scrap Yard.
  3. Step inside and check the left wall or the side with interior racks.
  4. Search the yellow-marked box on the floor.
  5. Manually take the First Wave Rations.
What You Should Notice: The rations objective updates and you now have all three Broken Monument items if the earlier stops are done.
Stop Here If Fixed: If you now carry all three items, stop looting Scrap Yard and leave the point of interest.

Broken Monument is not finished when you touch the third box. The run only becomes safe once you leave the map with all three items.

Some guides hard-pick one named exit. That is not the cleanest rule. Use the safest Cargo Elevator you can reach from your current side of the map, with the fewest fresh fights between you and the extract.

  1. Open the map after the third item is in your inventory.
  2. Ignore extra loot unless it is directly on your exit line.
  3. Rotate out of Scrap Yard on the quietest edge available.
  4. Use the safest Cargo Elevator you can reach, not the most famous one from another guide.
  5. Return to Speranza with First Wave Compass, First Wave Tape, and First Wave Rations intact.
What You Should Notice: The raid ends with all three quest items still in your possession and ready for delivery.
Stop Here If Fixed: If you extracted with all three items, do not redeploy. Turn the quest in immediately.
