ARC Raiders Crossplay Embark ID
Fix Type: Root Cause Requirement.
To play ARC Raiders, you need an Embark ID. Embark says it connects your progress, purchases, and friends across platforms, and it allows cross-platform play with friends on supported systems.
If you cannot add friends cross-platform, do not skip the Embark ID sections.
ARC Raiders Crossplay Embark ID Creation
Fix Type: Root Cause Fix.
Use this if you have never played ARC Raiders or THE FINALS before.
Launch ARC Raiders.
When prompted, select Create New Account.
What You Should Notice: You get an Embark ID account prompt on first launch, and you can proceed into the game with an Embark ID.
Stop Here If Fixed: If you can reach the Lobby and open Social, go to the friend steps next.
ARC Raiders Crossplay Embark ID Linking
Fix Type: Root Cause Fix.
Use this if you already have an Embark ID from THE FINALS or ARC Raiders tests, and you want to link the platform you are currently on.
Launch ARC Raiders.
When prompted, select Link Existing Account.
Scan the QR code or open the link shown.
Sign in using the platform already linked to your Embark ID (example: PlayStation).
Complete the linking flow for the new platform you are adding.
What You Should Notice: Your current platform becomes connected to the same Embark ID, which is what Embark uses for cross-progression and cross-platform play with friends.
Stop Here If Fixed: If you only needed your account linked, and you can now access Social and your Embark ID, move on.
ARC Raiders Crossplay Embark ID Finder
Fix Type: Diagnostic.
You need the exact Embark ID format to add someone.
Launch ARC Raiders.
Open the Social menu from the Main Menu.
Look at the top-left for your Embark ID in this format: DisplayName#1234.
What You Should Notice: You can read your Embark ID exactly, including the 4-digit discriminator.
Stop Here If Fixed: If you have the correct ID, send it to your friend and go to the add friend steps.
ARC Raiders Crossplay Friend Add
Fix Type: Root Cause Fix.
This is the normal way to add a crossplay friend using their Embark ID.
From the Lobby screen, select the Social button on the bottom-right.
Open the Friends tab.
Select Add Friend at the upper-right of the menu.
Enter your friend’s Embark ID (example format: Name#1234).
Confirm the friend request.
What You Should Notice: A friend request is sent. After they accept, they show up in your friends list.
Stop Here If Fixed: If they appear in your friends list, go to party invites.
ARC Raiders Crossplay Party Invite
Fix Type: Root Cause Fix.
This is the step that actually gets you into the same squad cross-platform.
Option A uses the Lobby invite control.
From the Lobby screen, find the circle with a + above the play widget.
Select it.
Select the friend you want to invite.
Send the party invite.
Wait for them to accept.
What You Should Notice: When they accept, they are added to your party.
How To Undo It: If you do not want to play together anymore, leave the party in the Lobby UI.
Stop Here If Fixed: If you are in the same party, queue up and stop troubleshooting.
Option B uses the Recent list.
From the Lobby screen, select the Social button on the bottom-right.
Go to Recent.
Select the player.
Select Invite to Party.
What You Should Notice: The recent player gets a party invite, and joining puts them into your party.
How To Undo It: Back out of Social and do not send additional invites.
Stop Here If Fixed: If the player joins your party, start a round.
ARC Raiders Crossplay Setting
Fix Type: Root Cause Fix For Slow Matchmaking.
If matchmaking feels slow, Embark says the most common reason is Crossplay is turned off. Turning Crossplay on can help you find games faster.
This also matters in parties. Embark states the Crossplay setting of the most restrictive player applies, so one friend having it off can force the whole party to queue with Crossplay off.
Open the game settings.
Find the setting named Crossplay.
Set Crossplay to On.
Have every party member check the same Crossplay setting.
Queue again.
What You Should Notice: The party is no longer limited by a Crossplay-off member, and matchmaking can improve in many cases.
How To Undo It: Set Crossplay back to Off.
Stop Here If Fixed: If matchmaking starts working normally, stop and play.
ARC Raiders Crossplay Matchmaking Region
Fix Type: Root Cause Fix.
If you are matchmaking into the wrong region, it can cause slow queues or bad connections. Embark provides an in-game region path using Gameplay > Server and Automatic.
PC Steps
Open the gear icon at the bottom right of the screen.
Go to Gameplay > Server.
Set it to Automatic.
Console Steps
Open the Social menu.
Navigate to the gear icon on the left side of the screen.
Select Gameplay > Server.
Set it to Automatic.
What You Should Notice: The Gameplay > Server value shows Automatic.
How To Undo It: Go back to Gameplay > Server and set it to your previous region.
Stop Here If Fixed: If queues and connections improve, stop troubleshooting.
